A BIG Saturday TREBLE!

A BIG Saturday TREBLE!

Saturday 19th February will go down in Downton Hall Stables history!

Much to many people’s surprise, this was the day Henry scored his first treble.

The day started off brilliantly with an incredible staying performance from Fortescue in the Listed chase at Ascot. It was very much a family occasion with owner/breeder Tim’s Grandson (Hugh Nugent) in the saddle. We’re delighted for the pair of them!

Our attention then turned to Hillcrest in the Grade 2 Albert Bartlett Prestige Novice’s Hurdle. Under a great ride from Richard Patrick he managed to win (more than) comfortably by 8 lengths! Congratulations to the Hemmings family and we hope Trevor was watching from above.

Last but not least, Guillemot decided that a double wasn’t enough for Team Daly. He lead the field under Harry Cobden and went on to win in emphatic style by 12 lengths. Congratulations to his owner Sir Thomas.

We hope we don’t have to wait so long for the next treble!!
